Matt the Electrician, The Attic SC, April 2007

Last night, at the urging of my friends Pixy and Dawn I jotted downtown to catch a show by Matt the Electrician and his travelling band, which currently includes Scrappy.  They were in town for the evening, travelling up the California coast and landed on an opening in my social calendar.  I do have to say that I was delighted to finally see the band Paul recommended to me so long ago and haven't ever been disappointed in a Poltz-cult music recommendation yet.  I mean, who can go wrong with ANYONE who has played Louenrains!  It was a very pleasant evening in a great venue and I would happily see them again.  It made me realize how much I needed soulful guitar music in the dark.  The only down came during the encore when in a typical "tori moment" my camera and gorilla pod did a tumble off the table and now gets an express trip to Illinois and Canon with hopes they can save it.  Alas not in time for the rest of my musical weekend to be captured digitally, so you will have to make due with these for now.
