Belonging

Just like making my own stone at this family reunion in July 2001, I got to make my birth father David's, so I did it with stones and my handprint...cause I am a piece of him. They live in my grandma's lawn in St. Louis, Missouri.

If you don't know a lot about painter Gilbert Stuart, you can read about him here, but you should recognize one of his most famous works: the George Washington head on the US Dollar Bill!! His was one of my favorite graves in Boston, in the neatest calm and pretty place.
