The Wild, Wild West

The Wild Wild West

Sunday, when the temple was burning, I looked around and thought that the world outside that desert could fall away, and no one would notice. It felt like the only place in the universe. The true wilderness. As the silence was filled with the flames whipping violently in the wind, I took in all that was around me and realized the amazing thing that was happening. Though the true respectful silence only lasted but a moment, I felt like we took a collective breath, and knew we were witnessing something amazing that couldn't be spoken. It is that one deep breath that I live an entire year waiting for.
